  50.   for expensive features.  Amiga sound is vintage 1986 and its taken
  51.   to 1994 for PC sound to surpass it (although most PC sound is still
  52.   8-bit sampling or speaker beeps).  By not developing a new sound
  53.   system, instead keeping the basic one (which worked) they avoid
  54.   an expense.
